Dominican’s Seiler Named Player of Week

Dominican’s Seiler Named Player of Week

February 7th, 2023 General News | Dominican | Florida | Georgia Tech | Virginia Tech

ATLANTA – Dominican traveled to L.A. this weekend and picked up a huge victory, thanks to the play of sophomore attackman Kenny Seiler, who was named the Warrior Division Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 5.

The unranked Penguins had a big clash against No. 9 USC on Sunday afternoon and thanks to four goals and a pair of dimes from the Tustin, Calif., product, Dominican registered the 14-9 triumph.

Seiler had just 19 points all of last season and is a quarter of the way to matching that mark after one game.

“Kenny broke out toward the end of his freshman year and we know this could be his year,” said Dominican coach Samuel Vogel-Seidenberg. “Early in the game, he was dominant. He scored in different ways – from feeds on the crease, to downhill alley dodges and a step-down shot.

“He got the team going early and kept the energy up all game. He did the little things and was very unselfish leading the team as a sophomore. Kenny is a captain this season and he led with his play and energy to help secure the win.”

For his efforts earning the Warrior Player of the Week, Seiler will receive a Warrior EVO QX-O – a $100 value – for his efforts. Warrior is a proud sponsor of the MCLA.
