ATLANTA – The final weekend of the regular season is days away and Brigham Young is the unanimous No. 1 team in the MCLA Division I New Balance Weekly Coaches poll, which was released Wednesday.

The Cougars (13-0) enter this weekend’s RMLC tournament as the top seed and will face No. 12 Utah Valley (7-5) in the semifinals. If it advances, BYU will tangle with either No. 9 Colorado (8-4) or No. 18 Colorado State (8-5).

Texas (13-0) is firmly planted at No. 2. The Longhorns run a three-games-in-three-days gauntlet this weekend at the LSA tourney, starting with Baylor on Friday.

No. 3 Virginia Tech (13-2) advanced out of the first round of the ALC tournament, earning the Hokies a date with No. 6 Liberty (10-4) on Saturday in the semifinals.

San Diego State (13-1) won its showdown with Chapman (11-3) to leap into the No. 4 spot, followed immediate by the Panthers. The two teams will face each other on Friday in the SLC tournament semifinals.

No. 7 Georgia Tech (13-3) and No. 25 Michigan State (10-3) won their respective conference tournaments this past weekend, grabbing automatic qualifying bids to the 2024 MCLA National Championships presented by New Balance. The event will take place at the Round Rock (Texas) Multipurpose Complex from May 6-11.

The entire bracket for nationals will be announced on Sunday night, April 28.
